Vodka + Superfood
Yep, vodka goes with everything. Coffee at Oregon Ducks football games and with the palatable purple berry that happens to be a superfood - the blueberry. WebMD told me that superfoods (blueberries being at the top of the list) are: “…powerful enough to help you lower your cholesterol, reduce your risk of heart disease and cancer, and, for an added bonus, put you in a better mood.”
You know what else puts one in a better mood? Vodka.
As the temperatures remain elevated across the country, here is a drink I came up that is sure to reinvigorate and is apparently WebMD approved. Enjoy.
(Note: I have not named this drink yet, but I do want to. Please comment below for a suggested name. Picture yourself ordering it under a cabana, poolside at some Vegas party spot. “I would like the ______, please.”)
The ingredients: stevia, organic frozen blueberries, vodka, sparkling water and ice. Calorie conscious as far as flavorful iced alcoholic beverages go.
You can estimate the amount of each ingredient you want according to how many drinks you want to come out of the blender. Note: stevia is not for everyone. You might want to taste it first and go easy on the amount. You can always add more. Or substitute Splenda. Or if you are really daring, go right ahead and add an actual sweetener. Or none at all for you purists. Blend on with your bad self.
Let’s call it the Hogan for a moment. A Hogan is best enjoyed in a martini glass, outside, while doing some summer reading. I am currently doing some research on some publications I hope to see my name in glossy print in someday.

Thanks for chiming in on the name. I know! I kinda like The Hogan too but it sounds like a drink name for a muscly manly bev…whatever that is. 
Oh! Maybe Baby Girl Blue? The Blue? The Berry? Super Vodka? I believe we can figure this out. This drink cannot go unnamed.
